ABOUT FREEMAN WOODWORKING
About the Owner
Growing up it was hard to find me in the house. Typically I was out in the woods, playing in the creek or building something. Basically I just loved being in nature. As I grew older, I began working with my grandpa at his limestone mill. It started with manual labor, shoveling out all of the dust from the equipment. Then it grew into running the equipment and reading the drawings to figure out what was needed. That's where I gained my passion for design. In my free time I would carve, cut, and stack limestone to build anything from a mushroom lamp for the house, to a bird bath for my mom's flower bed.

As an adult, I have worn many different hat. I joined the army, worked at a wood furniture manufacturer, a trucking company, and a few other places. Through all of this, I married the love of my life and we have been together for 20 years with 3 beautiful daughters. Although I was content in my life, the pull of nature was always there. I found my looking at trees others would have discarded and not seeing them for what they are but the beauty they could be. I started making smaller household furniture for our home and even turned some of my wife's ideas into reality.
